My bathroom is overflowing with beauty supplies. Bottles full of hair care products and masks. Draws brimming with makeup and tools. Each with a price attached, in dollars and environmental challenges.
Beauty products are some of the last things we associate with environmental impact. Some brands jump on the bandwagon and do things like stopping animal testing or using only vegan ingredients, but a few of these changes are done specifically to protect the environment. Instead they are done to appeal to a wider, niche market that their consumers seem to care about.

The kitchen is one of my favorite places, right behind whichever room my gaming system is currently set up in. Cooking and preparing food for family holds a special place in my heart, so my kitchen is typically kept clean and ready to roll.
The more I cook, the more I realize there is a major waste problem surrounding the kitchen and cooking. Everywhere you look there are vegetables wrapped in plastic, to-go containers that can’t be recycled, and an abundance of useless packaging.

It’s a new year and that means chanting ‘New Year, New Me’ while trying to force yourself into the gym or buying heaps of vegetables that may or may not end up rotting in the fridge. New Year’s resolutions tend to seem like small hills at first, but can turn into giant mountains easily. The tendency to over-promise yourself during the first month of a new year is a pretty standard occurrence and can lead into more guilt than you started off with.
